Our second issue in this mini-series introduces three valued representatives from our Sales Account Team for the Commerical Lighting Division of Fiberstars.

Drew Bender
Sales Account Executive

Drew started with Fiberstars in 1999. With an Industrial Design background he created custom fiber optic features and installations. Hands on experience lead to a wealth of application knowledge. Today Drew holds the position of “Applications and Quotes Specialist” for US and International projects. This allows him to work directly with Reps and Specifiers to accomplish their lighting needs. He also manages the sales aspects in the North-West as “NW Territory Sales Manager”. In his free time Drew spends time with his wife and three kids doing all the great NW outdoor things. Skiing, geo-caching, gardening; but right now it's all about kids in Little League!

Jason joined the Fiberstars team in 2006 and brought six years of sales management experience with him. He currently works as a regional sales manager and focuses on specification, distribution, and national accounts with the various agencies he supports. He prides himself in relationship building and identifying market niches that have helped create sales growth in his areas of responsibility.

When not at work, he and his family enjoy cooking, fishing, rock climbing, and a variety of outdoor activities. Jason is an avid sports fan who sincerely hopes that the Cavaliers can break through - this year - as the first Cleveland sports franchise to win a championship in his lifetime. He currently resides in Ohio with his wife and former high school sweetheart, Jamie, and their two daughters, Mara and Josie.

With just over 1 year at Fiberstars, Gene is the newest member to the sales team, but with over 35 years of experience, he is a veteran in the lighting industry. Having worked for both lighting specifying and product sales, he knows how to help customers find what they’re looking for. Gene has been a member of the IESNA since 1988 and is an active member of the Cleveland Section volunteering as an instructor for IESNA Education Programs locally.

“I am as passionate about lighting today as I was when I first started; it’s an artistic tool used to emphasize architectural design.”
